DJ Sbu is in talks with Durban-based Vuma FM, hoping to make a comeback to radio broadcasting.

According to well placed sources, DJ Sbu wants to host a prestigious drive-time show and if the two parties agree on terms, he will broadcast live from Rosebank studios in Johannesburg.

DJ Sbu will be joining a star-studded team, including Linda Sibiya, Jacinta Ngobese and Lucky Sefatsa.

Head of radio at Times Media, Tony Mallam, has confirmed that the station was negotiating with DJ Sbu.

“Yes, we have received a request from him and we are still in talks. It’s still early stages to predict the outcome. We are meeting him again this week.”

Mallam further confirmed that if the talks went smoothly, they will consider Leope for a drive-time show. He added that normally Vuma FM introduced changes in July, and that might be the time Leope would be on air.
