Dolce&Gabbana takes over hotel Cala di Volpe in Sardinia
Hotel Cala di Volpe, a Luxury Collection Hotel in Sardinia, has been selected as one of the exclusive locations for Dolce&Gabbana’s latest creative take-over, the ‘DG Resort’. This exciting project will bring the unmistakable flair of the iconic Italian brand to one of Europe’s most renowned beach clubs.
Dolce&Gabbana will transform the entire pool area of Hotel Cala di Volpe, which boasts one of the largest saltwater pools in Europe. Guests will be welcomed into a unique atmosphere where every detail, from soft cotton beach towels to hand-painted vases and vibrant upholstery, is infused with Dolce&Gabbana’s distinctive style. The Carretto Siciliano fantasy, a design rooted in Italy’s rich artistic and cultural heritage, will be prominently featured, showcasing the bold colour contrasts typical of this traditional Sicilian art form. This transformation pays homage to the values of Fatto a Mano (The Handmade) and celebrates the excellence of Italian craftsmanship.
Situated along the picturesque Costa Smeralda, Hotel Cala di Volpe has long been a symbol of luxury tourism, seamlessly integrating with the social fabric and natural beauty of the Gallura coastline in northeastern Sardinia. Originally designed in the 1960s by French architect Jacques Couëlle, the hotel was inspired by an old fishing village and has recently undergone a skillful restyling by architects Bruno Moinard and Claire Bétaille. Overlooking its namesake bay, the hotel continues to embody timeless elegance, surrounded by the enchanting scents and sounds of nature and the sea.
This summer’s Dolce&Gabbana take-over further cements Hotel Cala di Volpe’s reputation as a five-star legend and a luxury lifestyle authority in the Mediterranean. With its glamorous setting and stunning new design, the hotel remains one of Sardinia’s most luxurious and visually captivating destinations.
Managed by Marriott International, Hotel Cala di Volpe is a gem of Costa Smeralda. Designed to blend seamlessly with the surrounding landscape, the hotel offers unparalleled luxury and a rich cultural experience, making it a favourite among discerning travellers worldwide.
