Enjoy an active Valentine’s Day with the Absa RUN YOUR CITY Series’ ‘The LOVE Run 5K’ Challenge
Runners and walkers are invited to actively embrace Valentine’s Day by registering for the Absa RUN YOUR CITY Series’ second challenge, ‘The LOVE Run 5K’ Strava Challenge that is set to take place on Wednesday, 14 February 2024.
“This challenge is the perfect opportunity for energetic couples, friends, and families to celebrate Valentine’s Day actively,” states Michael Meyer, Managing Director of Stillwater Sports and Founder of the Absa RUN YOUR CITY Series. “These Strava Challenges serve as an excellent platform for runners to connect, encouraging a stronger, healthier, and highly active RUN YOUR CITY Series running community. In addition to being a fun way to stay active, it also provides perfect preparation for the upcoming 2024 Absa RUN YOUR CITY Series. “Runners will need to complete their 5km run/walk between 05:00 – 23:00 on Wednesday 14 February,” continues Meyer. “An awesome pair of PUMA NITRO running shoes is up for grabs. To stand a chance to win this fantastic prize, all you need to do is complete the 5km run and share your experience, pictures, and routes to the RUN YOUR CITY Series Strava Club page.”
Absa RUN YOUR CITY Series Challenge #2: ‘The LOVE Run 5K’ Challenge on Strava

How to join Challenge #2 / ‘The LOVE Run 5K’ Challenge:
Runners are to “join” the RUN YOUR CITY Series Running Club on Strava: https://www.strava.com/clubs/rycs
If runners have not done so yet, they will need to create a Strava Account before they can join the club.
Runners are to join ‘The LOVE Run 5K’ challenge on the RUN YOUR CITY Series Running Club by clicking on the orange “I’m in” button displayed next to the Event listing.
Runners must record their run using a smartphone (Android or iPhone device) or smart watch (Garmin).
Runners must share their activities, pictures, and routes to the RUN YOUR CITY Series Strava Club page. All activities logged during the challenge period must be uploaded to Strava no later than 23:00 on Wednesday 14 February 2024.
WIN BIG: The names of 5 lucky runners will go into a lucky draw to win an AWESOME pair of PUMA NITRO Running Shoes. Don’t forget to share your activity to the RUN YOUR CITY Series Running Club on Strava within the stipulated time frame. The winner will be selected by random draw and announced on the RUN YOUR CITY Series Running Club page on Thursday 15 February 2024.
