Singer Erykah Badu is in South Africa ahead of Cape Town International Jazz Festival

Badu is expected to be the centre of attraction as she joins top jazz icons from around the world at the 15th edition of the jazz festival.
The festival will kick off on March 28 till April at the Cape Town International Convention Centre where the event will be hosted for the tenth year.
Badu, whose unique approach to soul has redefined the genre, needs little introduction. Universally she is regarded as the queen of neo soul, a style of music that emerged from soul and contemporary R&B that incorporated elements from jazz, funk, hip hop, pop, fusion, and African music.
