The pair fought in 2015 with Mayweather winning a comfortable decision over his long-time rival.

The former pound-for-pound king revealed this weekend that he was in talks with the Filipino for a second fight this year.

It has also been reported by Ring Magazine that contracts will be sent shortly as talks are in “advanced stages” for a Las Vegas bout on December 1 or December 8.

They also report that talks are at an advanced stage and contracts will be sent out this week.

Floyd Mayweather claims he will come out of retirement to fight Manny Pacquiao in shock rematch in December.

Pacquiao was coy regarding whether his opponent would definitely be Mayweather when speaking to reporters in the Philippines on Monday, as he said: “We will finalise the [next] fight this week.

“Either Mayweather or somebody else, where and when, what date.”

The legendary eight-division world champion added that “Amir Khan, Terence Crawford and Adrien Broner” were also potential opponents for his next bout, although it is widely known that Mayweather is now the frontrunner.

While Khan’s team have held talks over a possible bout with Pacquiao, Crawford already has a fight scheduled against Jose Benavidez while Broner is rumoured to be facing Omar Figueroa next time out.

On Saturday, Mayweather posted a video on Instagram of he and Pacquiao coming face to face in Japan with Mayweather shouting: “I’m coming back in December.”

He captioned the video: “I’m coming back to fight Manny Pacquiao this year another nine-figure pay day on the way.”
