Former All Blacks captain Jerry Collins and his wife have been killed in a car crash in France. According to report, Collins and his wife, Alana Madill, died in a collision with a bus on the A9 motorway in Herault, southern France while their three-month-old daughter was taken to hospital in serious condition.
The 34-year-old Samoan-born sportsman was travelling with his wife Alana Madill and their tiny daughter Ayla in Herault when their car was hit by a bus.
The French publication reports Collins is believed to have stopped his car after experiencing unknown technical problems, before a bus crashed into it at about 4:30am local time with the crumpled family’s car reportedly thrown 10 metres by the impact.
