Friday is the big day for the 46 finalists taking part in Umlazi Mega City’s very first Mega Talent Search.
The organisers, who are looking forward to a good turnout from the local community and shoppers at the Grande Finale, created this competition to provide a perfect platform for talented locals to showcase their unique talents.
Proudly sponsored by Mega City tenants Fashion Fusion, Arthur Ford, Mega Super Spar and Durban Fashion Fair, the Mega Talent Search gives talented youngsters a chance to win prizes worth more than R8 000.
More importantly, it allows them to shine and be role models for others, inspiring them to discover their special aptitudes and then to strive to be the very best that they can be.
Hundreds of young people entered the competition from the beginning of July, 2018. The judges were then left with the extremely difficult task of narrowing this down to just 46 finalists who will be fighting for that number one spot this Friday (August 10th 2018).
Those tasked with the even more challenging job of picking the very first winner include general manager of Umlazi Mega City, S’phume Khuzwayo, internationally respected local choreographer and dance instructor, Mxolisi Nkomonde, and radio presenter, producer and businesswoman, Jacinta Ngobese.

The Grand Finale is set to commence at 12pm and will end at 4pm.
