Young South African rapper Tshegofatso Boshielo, better known by his stage name Tag-Team, is expanding his repertoire with his latest track It’s All About Drip.
Born in Lebowakgomo and raised in Polokwane, Tag-Team declared music as his first love at the tender age of just 11-years-old. Today, with a BCom Law degree under his belt, he is making the grand gestures that one does for their one true love.
It’s All About Drip is part of Tag-Team’s first EP, and it illustrates his self-assured musical presence.

The throbbing brass riff that echoes throughout the song in the background gives the track a mature and nostalgic hip hop feel, while the lyrics are as contemporary as they come. This is a hype song for before heading out for a night out or for when you need that push before a heavy workout.

The talented Tag-Team is an all-rounder, as he started his instrumental journey with guitar before moving onto bass guitar at a later stage. His ensemble playing began with a seven-year stint in his church band, after which he joined a band called 5th Element, boasting mentorship from Hugh Masekela’s former music director, guitarist and producer, Erik Paliani.
It’s All About Drip is not Tag-Teams first single. He wrote his first track in 2017, called Young Man Don’t Care, followed by a mixtape titled The Backroom Mixtape. Thus began his independent music career.
This young man is here to make his mark on the rap and hip hop scene in South Africa and our ears are to the ground to find out what his next moves will be.
It’s All About Drip is available on all major digital platforms.
