Representing Springfield Retail Centre is Bernice Clarisse, the Property Manager for the Broll Property Group together with Janet Naidoo handing over
R5 000 to the Durban & Coast SPCA, based in Springfield Park.
As part of their CSI initiative for the year, Springfield Retail Centre wanted to support this organisation that gives so much love and support to our 4-legged friends.
The SPCA strives to prevent cruelty, promote the welfare of all animals, assist communities by helping those pets from underprivileged owners, teach humans about responsible pet ownerships, and so much more. The organization is a voice for those who cannot speak for themselves.
The SPCA receives no funding from government and relies on Lottery funding and the generosity of the public to ensure that it can continue the work it does, and currently takes in more than 250 000 animals per annum. This year has been even tougher with many animal owners losing their jobs or leaving their animals behind when immigrating.

Kindness and compassion does not cost a cent, however food, veterinary equipment and supplies, housing, staffing and vehicles for saving animals certainly does.
The kind generosity of the R5 000 contribution from Springfield Retail Centre will certainly assist with some of the SPCAs expenses, and the Centre encourages its shoppers to donate if you can, as in the end only kindness matters.
