Grammy and Tony Award-winning vocalist, songwriter, author and actor Leslie Odom, Jr. has released a brand-new holiday album, The Christmas Album, on November 6 via S-Curve Records/BMG. The 10-track album features a collection of beloved traditional favorites together with newly penned, original tracks that are sure to become instant holiday classics for years to come. Coinciding with the album announce, Leslie is celebrating Christmas early with the release of two new songs, “Winter Song” featuring Tony, Emmy, and Grammy Award-winner Cynthia Erivo, which showcases both artists’ unparalleled talent, as well as “Snow,” the first of two original holiday singles, along with “Heaven & Earth,” set to be featured on the album.
On The Christmas Album, Leslie reimagines timeless holiday hits including “Last Christmas,” “O Holy Night,” “It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas” and more. The album features Leslie’s version of the Christmas classic, “Little Drummer Boy,” performed with the Mzansi Youth Choir, who offer a beautiful, youthful sound, providing a unique blend of energy, spirit, and devotion to South African music.

Broadway star, singer, actress, and Leslie’s wife, Nicolette Robinson, joins him on a traditional Chanukah song, “Ma’oz Tzur,” which pays homage to their own diverse, extended family coming together around the holiday season. By including a few non-Christmas songs on the album, Leslie’s goal was to spread the message of inclusion, stressing how important it is to respect and celebrate our differences, now more than ever.
Of the album, Leslie shares, “Man lemme tell you…we sang our hearts on this album. We needed to. I believe you’ll hear it and feel it when you listen.” The Christmas Album marks Leslie’s second holiday album following Simply Christmas, which he re-released in winter 2017 as a deluxe edition in winter with new arrangements and new songs. The holiday album hit #1 on iTunes and Billboard Jazz Charts.
The Christmas Album follows Mr., Leslie’s third album and first of all-original material, released in November 2019. Most recently, he teamed up with nine-time Grammy-nominated and multi-platinum artist Sia to debut a re-recorded, new version of standout track “Cold” – listen here.

About Leslie Odom, Jr.
Leslie Odom, Jr. is a multifaceted Tony and Grammy Award-winning performer, best known for his breakout role as Aaron Burr in the Broadway phenomenon Hamilton. Odom’s self-titled debut album charted at #1 on the Billboard Jazz chart and in winter 2017, he topped the charts again with the re-release of Simply Christmas as a deluxe edition with new arrangements and new songs. His extensive acting career includes film and television roles including Murder on the Orient Express, Red Tails and Smash.
In 2018, he added author to his resume with the release of his book, Failing Up: How to Rise Above, Do Better, and Never Stop Learning. In November 2019, he starred alongside Cynthia Erivo and Janelle Monae in Harriet, a biopic about the extraordinary life of Harriet Tubman and he will be in next year’s highly anticipated film The Many Saints of Newark. Most recently Odom starred in the new Apple TV+ animated musical-comedy series Central Park for which he received an Emmy nomination and in the limited Freeform series Love In The Time Of Corona, and will next be seen as Sam Cooke in the upcoming film, One Night In Miami. Odom released his third full-length album and first of original material, entitled Mr in November 2019 and will release his new holiday album, entitled The Christmas Album on November 6.
