Today, rising pop singer-songwriter Haiden Henderson serves up a brand new single entitled “K.O.” out now via LAVA/Republic Records. Listen HERE, watch lyric video HERE. It sets the stage for his forthcoming lover boy EP, arriving on July 12th. Pre-order/Pre-save lover boy HERE.

Co-written and produced by Lauren Christy [Avril Lavigne, Dua Lipa], Midi Jones [Demi Lovato, Alessia Cara], Joe Pepe, and Sam Short, off-kilter acoustic guitar and lively percussion kickstart “K.O.” Rich with double entendre and cheeky lyrics, the song uses boxing as a playful analogy for the intensity and passion of romantic desire and physical intimacy.

About the track, Haiden commented, “I’ve never really written about love in a positive way before. I’ve also definitely never written about sex before, and I wanted a song that did both while making you move your hips. I’m really happy with how this song glides through the air with more confidence than even I have.”

It serves as the third single from lover boy.

Of the project, he elaborated, “My favorite feeling while listening to a song is swearing that I’ve heard it before but not knowing when or where and I was trying to bottle that feeling with this new era. I think this EP feels like something I could’ve heard from the backseat of my mom’s car growing up.”

He set the stage for the project with “bleachers.” Right out of the gate, it earned critical acclaim. Melodic Magazine professed “The lyrics are like a punch in the gut, but in the best way possible,” while SWEETY HIGH noted, “From its message to its sound, we find it all irresistible.”

It followed on the heels of “hell of a good time.” Beyond reeling in north of 5 million global streams and counting, it incited unanimous critical applause. LADYGUNN christened it “the perfect anthem for pre-party ritual,” and OnesToWatch concurred, “The song is an exhilarating effort with mosh-worthy instrumentals and swooning vocals, making it the ultimate track to listen to while getting ready for a night out.”

“hell of a good time” resonated with fans last month when Haiden posted this video, recorded on the streets of New York. Somehow, having heard the teaser just days before his first two sold out headline shows in Brooklyn and Los Angeles, fans knew every word. Boasting over 30,000 pre-saves, the song, co-produced by Lauren Christy (Avril Lavigne, Dua Lipa) and Midi Jones (Demi Lovato, Alessia Cara), features a shuffle beat and mesmerizing falsetto vocals, making it the ultimate track to listen to while getting ready for a night out. Watch the official music video HERE.

Haiden has quietly emerged as a phenomenon on his own terms. His arresting voice, open-hearted lyricism, and raw unpredictable soundscapes anchor an emotionally charged and engaging vision on all of his music. About Haiden Henderson

Haiden Henderson’s music always seems to capture those deep cutting truths that you haven’t been able to find words for and wrap them in candy-coated melodies. As a singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, he makes sense of the confusion and chaos that comes with being in your 20s in the 21st century. His honest experiences and unfiltered emotions scrape across alternative soundscapes, allowing his pop vocals and melodies to breathe as much as they bleed. Raised in Northern California by a single mother, Haiden moved around a lot, leading him to pick up various hobbies as a way to make friends and garner attention. Having attended a math and science high school, Haiden first started his college career in Aerospace Engineering but slowly realized his heart was in music. Junior year, he transferred to the USC Thornton School of Music, living out of his car and working part time until he could afford an apartment. After a childhood hand condition forced him to take a break from guitar, Haiden fell into songwriting. Sharing his songs online, Haiden quickly gained an audience. In 2022, an acoustic teaser of his song “Can’t Hurt Me”, amassed nearly 10 million views paving the way for viral moments to come. On its heels, “Sorry To Your Next Ex” exploded to the tune of 20 million global streams, propelling his debut EP, Good Grief! to surpass 50 million global streams to date. Earmilk professed, “‘Sorry To Your Next Ex’ will quickly place Haiden as the voice of a generation.” He only increased momentum in 2023, with his sophomore EP, ‘Choke on My Heart” consisting of viral hits “Fresh Blood” and “Pretty Little Addict” leading him to sign with LAVA/Republic Records. Now in 2024, Haiden has launched his full project, ‘Haiden Henderson’, releasing singles “hell of a good time”, “bleachers”, and “K.O.” with lover boy EP out July 12th.
