Johannesburg, South Africa – 24 April 2023: HEAR YE, HEAR YE, HEAR YE!! Celebrating its 10th year, the Annual Magical Medieval Fayre is back, and this year, in celebration of a decade of revelry, it will be elevating the magic with a brand-new venue. The event will be held on 3rd June 2023, and this year it will call the incredible Greensleeves Medieval Kingdom in Krugersdorp home.

Regular medieval revellers will know that this annual event is a day where they can kick back to times gone by, dust off their inner lord or lady, harness their dragon, and enjoy a day with friends and family. Dress up or not. The choice is yours. The event is a family, kid, and socialised pet-friendly day for all to enjoy.

“Amidst the rolling mountains, a kingdom of magical medieval degrees lies deep in the trees. Perchance, on your travels, you’ll encounter a knight or a damsel, a rogue, or tasty delights. We invite ye all merry to join in the Fayre and explore everything that awaits you there!” says Dayle Robyn Mallinson and Meryl Rosenberg of Alter Egos.

Minstrels, buskers, barons, knights, damsels, dragons, steeds, fairies, and nobles will wander the Magical Market Place. Here you can banter with ye olde merchants and enjoy all manner of medieval culinary delights. Whet thy whistle with authentic mead and quaff ale while experiencing the bustle and brilliance of Ye 10th annual Joburg Magical Medieval Fayre.

Tickets are already on sale on Quicket and include early bird options and tailored packages, including an exclusive number of tickets for visitors who elect to be nobility for just one day.

“It has been an incredible journey to get to celebrate our 10th anniversary, and we can’t wait to take this popular event to the next level with a brand new venue. While we know that Edison wasn’t quite around in medieval times, so electricity wasn’t an issue, we are prepared for loadshedding and bad weather. All you need to do is book your ticket and descend upon Greensleeves Medieval Kingdom in Krugersdorp on 3rd June to witness life as it was in the Middle Ages,” adds Mallinson and Rosenberg.
