After trying with no success, some people rather affiliate themselves with negativity. They feel they’d rather embrace failure and express bitterness based on what they see and have experienced than building on hope and positivity which they feel it hurts them the most since they do not see or touch in terms of experience.
Bitterness is not always towards people around them but can be on self or on God. They feel failure is an empty promise made to self by self with the hope that God will 100% make it materialise.
With vigour , we hope as we try things believing that our efforts will pay. Unfortunately not everything happens on first try . Sometimes we ought to give certain initiatives several attempts in order to get expected results. Due to trying hard, our crust of hope gets shaken and that is where one decides whether to take-up the challenge and hope more or lose it dismally.
I’d define hope as promise to self. No one likes broken promises. Every time we experience failure in what we hoped for , it feels like a broken promise. No one has a room for broken promises but God holds us up ,strengthens us and enables us to cope and escape.
After we have done all that is needed , built our impressive maps but still not achieve our expectations , our hopes get shuttered and we decide on whether we will convince ourselves with positivity or negativity. Failure is no one’s common sense but an opposite. It sometimes feels like we have built ourselves on a folly space .
Psalm 25:3 No one who hopes in you will ever be put to shame, but shame will come on those who are treacherous without cause.
We deal with failure differently . Keeping up with Hope is not as easy as we say it to be. Sometimes after several attempts , you wake-up feeling like ,” enough is enough” , I can’t keep hoping anymore. That is when you have reached a point of decision. A point that will make your future or break it. A point where you decide whether you’ll be positive or embrace negativity.
Ways to sustain your hope
1) Be faithful to yourself on what you are hoping for.
Whatever you promised yourself to achieve , never let go of that promise. No matter how long it takes, the more you hope and pray doing required jobs to build it , continue. One thing you should keep in mind, God will never give you a passion of something that is not your destiny portion .
Romans 10: 11 As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.”
2) Do not let failure restructure your Hope.
Our hope comes with a structure of which that we want to achieve. Sometimes when we fail , we tend to think our hope was built on wrong assumptions. That is not always the case , hope energises our effort. When we hope , we work harder.
Romans 5: 3 Not only that, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4 perseverance, character; and character, hope.5 And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.
To reach a level of hope, it reflects in this verse that you have done so much and went through much to be in this space. Do not allow failed attempts to take away so much powerful building elements you have accumulated.
3) Stay a way from discouragers
Do not let discouragers frustrate your plan. Every person has their personal beyond canal sight. No one unless on a Revelatory/Prophetic status has access to your God given supernatural sight. Some people will not see what God has shown you and will try to win you out of your hope, stay away from those. They are not enemies but it is because they have not seen what you have seen and have not heard what God told you. Keep hoping until all gets established.
4) Build in the Zone
Whatever you are hoping for , reside in it. Do not wait to see it physically but through faith , build in it. When you have built in what you are hoping for , every attempt that has failed becomes your past. Do not build on failures but allow yourself to archive them and make them your past.
5) Proverbs 3:5-6
5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
6 in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight.
In conclusion , always keep this in mind, Romans 8:37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
Do not let any failed attempt win you away from the truth of who you are. Keep hoping and have a blessed life
