Round five of the 2024 HYPROP MTN SHIFT Gaming Experience took place at Woodlands Boulevard in the City of Tshwane, from 19 to 21 July 2024. The country’s biggest mall-based gaming showdown turned into a magnet for the region’s most devoted gamers, who came together for a weekend packed with epic battles and a sense of community.
The highlight was the exhilarating EAFC tournament, where local gaming legends unleashed their incredible skills and strategies. Following a fierce battle, the winners emerged:
1st Place: Thabo Moloi
2nd Place: Katlego Mphaka
3rd Place: Ighsaan Brinkhuis
Thabo Moloi will now advance to the national finale, promising to be a showdown of epic proportions, scheduled for 11 to 15 September 2024 at Canal Walk in Cape Town, where the finalists will battle it out for the ultimate title and a share of the massive R200,000 grand prize pool.
A Weekend of Gaming Action at Woodlands Boulevard

There was an electric atmosphere as gamers and fans gathered for a weekend filled with epic competitions and interactive entertainment at Woodlands Boulevard. The HYPROP MTN SHIFT Gaming Experience drew onlookers and gamers alike, transforming the mall into a gamer’s paradise.

Minecraft fans also had their moment, showing off their creativity and survival instincts in captivating challenges.

MTN Beat Saber Challenge: Visitors experienced the thrill of the rhythm-based VR game, with the top scorer of the weekend winning an Xbox Series S.
Keyboard Rebuild Race: Participants raced against time to rebuild keyboards, vying for exciting prizes.
