Janet Jackson has taken to social media to put an end to speculation surrounding her health after she was forced to postpone tour dates last month.
The singer slammed US reports claiming her family were “terrified” she could be facing a “cancer scare” after doctors reportedly found a growth on her vocal cords.
In a video posted on Twitter on Wednesday evening, the singer opens with her Unbreakable song The Great Forever which includes lyrics such as “Don’t create the truth you like” before she saying she isn’t suffering from cancer.
“Remember… believe it when you hear it from my lips,” she wrote. “The rumours are untrue. I do not have cancer. I’m recoving.”
She continued: “My doctors have approved my concerts as scheduled in Europe, and as I promised, the postponed shows will be reschedule.”
