Thembisa Mdoda is set to take a break from her duties as the host of Our Perfect Wedding, while Jessica Nkosi and Anele Mdoda takes over as new host of OPW for awhile.
Mdoda will be absent from our TV screens from 29 May and will return on Sunday, 10 July.
While Mdoda, who to date has filmed a total of 19 weddings for the Mzansi Magic show, will be away her younger sister Anele Mdoda and Isibaya leading lady Jessica Nkosi will fill in for her.
“After so many amazing episodes, I’m honoured that South Africans still appreciate seeing me on their screens, as we celebrate the love and beautiful weddings of the various couples. I have decided to take some time off to regroup and gear-up for more exciting weddings to come. I can’t wait to return and take the viewers through more amazing weddings after my holiday,” Mdoda said in a statement.
Nkosi will be the first guest presenter on 5 June and 12 June, while Anele Mdoda will present on 19 June until 3 July.
“It is a great privilege to be part of such a huge production. Our Perfect Wedding is the main course on Mzansi Magic’s Sunday viewing and as someone who loves weddings, love, décor and beautiful things, I cannot wait to be part of this experience from the beginning, to the end,” Nkosi expressed.
