Within the House of Fabiani, Johannesburg was introduced to Fabiani’s male and female Spring/Summer collections. Guests were treated to an exclusive experience of summer sensations that were bold, refined and sharp as they walked through the innovative seasonal launch.
Botanical elements and sensual tropic flowers such as orchids and palm leaves were combined to create Fabiani’s high summer Tropical Affair collection. Sensual looks are emphasized with saturated greens, magenta and cerise pinks to portray the lively and bright capsule collection. Curated hand drawn artworks are printed, beaded and embroidered onto carefully crafted dresses, suiting and blouses forming the versatile seasonal pieces.
Synonymous to the brand, Fabiani’s Le Smoking female tuxedo suit was inspired by the 1966 YSL movement to recreate and establish the androgynous style. The Le Smoking collection contains various masculine silhouettes and elements like shirting, tailored suiting and accessories. “When styling masculine pieces with feminine items such as stilettos, silk blouses and decorative bows, it represents the androgynous style that Fabiani wants to achieve through empowering women” adds Marketing Manager, Lyle Paul.
Further to launching Fabiani’s SS17 collections, guests were also presented the second G-Star Elwood X25 collection – an ongoing celebration of unreserved self-expression and creativity. Drawing on inspiration from across the globe, Pharrell reimagined the classic 3D denim in 25 bright prints that meld motifs from the natural world – from poison dart frogs and butterfly fish to leopards and whale sharks – with renderings from diverse cultures: including ornate Indian paisley prints and Japanese kimono embroidery. A first in SA, consumers can pre-order their G-Star RAW Elwood X25 exclusively at www.fabiani.co.za.
Fabiani’s SS17 collections & G-Star RAW Elwood X25 are available in Fabiani flagship stores nationwide from 16 October 2017.
