Stream here: https://saxbytwins.lnk.tt/IThinkImFFYPR Joburg’s all new neo-dance and pop act, SaxbyTwins emerge after two years of online and low-key releases with a banger of a debut signing – (I Think I’m) Falling For You. Spotted online by the A&R team at Universal Music Group as a stand-out talent, the twins had released an unpolished version of the song on Tiktok earlier in 2020, piquing the label’s interest after the track began to go viral with dance trends. A few months, a recording deal, and some studio time later, the finessed version of the single is fast and furiously finding its way up local streaming charts such as Viral SA and Shazam, forging a solid path for the twins in the commercial music industry. At just 21 years of age, Kyle and Wayde Saxby have lived and breathed music since they were children. Honing their producing, singing and composing skills from young has positioned them as strong songwriters with effortless hit-making abilities. Having dabbled with self-released tracks such as We’re Unstoppable, Don’t Change You the Daniel Baron duet Ooh La La, the stars are finally aligned for this humble two-some as they enter the professional spotlight. (I Think I’m) Falling For You is a higher-end, more elevated sound for the twins, who cite everything from ‘bouncy dance-pop’ to ‘hip-hop influenced sing-a-longs’ and even piano ballads as their inspiration. Honed in, tucked around the edges and bursting with melody, it is no wonder the track has found its way into the younger generations hearts, with social media being the driving force behind the momentum. With relatable lyrics about the clumsy early days of falling in love, it speaks truth whilst remaining light enough to fire up the dance floor. With the goal of continuing their hot new production style, creating dancefloor memories and nurturing the pop scene in South Africa, SaxbyTwins are all set to drop (I Think I’m) Falling For You on major streaming platforms on Friday 25th March.
