Jub Jub is eligible for parole at the end of the year, after completing four years of his sentence.
Jub Jub and his friend, Themba Tshabalala who crashed their cars into a group of school kids kids in 2012, have served half of their 8-year jail sentences, are eligible for parole and likely to be release early next year.
According to Sunday World, Correctional Services spokesperson Singabakho Nxumalo confirmed the award winning musician will be considered for parole in December.
“In terms of policy, an offender does not apply but will automatically be considered for possible placement on parole once a certain portion of the sentence has been completed.
“In this case the offender will be considered after completion of half the sentence which is in 2016,” said Nxumalo.
