12 APRIL 2024 (TORONTO, ON) – Today, JUNO-nominated AfroR&B, singer, songwriter, and producer Nonso Amadi teams up with South African producers, SjavasDaDeejay and Tumelo.Za on reimagined version of his original track “Paper” listen to the remix HERE.

“Paper” was originally released on Nonso’s debut album, When It Blooms a year ago. With over 60 million global streams, the album received critical acclaim upon release, hailing praise from the likes of Billboard, COMPLEX, UPROXX, HotNewHipHop, and most recently was nominated for Contemporary R&B Recording of the Year at the 2024 JUNO Awards alongside Daniel Caesar, Shay Lia and Jon Vinyl. The “Paper” remix infuses the original track with a new tantalizing drumbeat and a heightened energy ready for any dancefloor. On the remix Nonso comments, “I’m super excited to be working with Sjavasdadeejay and Tumelo.Za on this.” He continues, “‘Paper’ is one of my favorite tracks from my album When It Blooms, it’s also the one song I’ve wanted to hear from an Amapiano perspective and I’m glad we got it right. Sjavasdadeejay and Tumelo took it to the next level and I can see the new verse being on repeat for a lot of South African DJs.”

After releasing and touring across Europe the Blended, a collaborative EP with R&B duo Emotional Oranges, Nonso is announced to join world famous multi-award-winning dancehall icon Sean Paul, supporting on the Toronto date at Budweiser Stage on August 28 for “Sean Paul: Greatest Tour 2024.”

Tumelo.Za hails from the vibrant streets of Soweto Pimville, South Africa. He is a vocalist and executive producer who has featured on numerous chart-topping hits such as the viral sensations: Mnike (Tyler ICU), Thesha (Mellow & Sleazy) and Ngimoja (Tyler ICU). He has collaborated with industry titans such as DJ Maphorisa, Mellow & Sleazy, Tyler ICU, Musical Jazz, and Soul Revolver, leaving his iconic mark with each performance.

ABOUT NONSO AMADI

Nonso Amadi is a Juno-nominated, Canadian-based singer, songwriter, and producer from Nigeria. Beginning his musical career while studying engineering in Nigeria at Covenant University and then Swansea University in the UK. Nonso transformed into a sonic-globetrotter after his move to Canada – leading him to fuse the soul & rhythm of African music with modern soft textures of R&B. After introducing himself with EPs released including 2017’s War, released with Odunsi The Engine and the 2019 breakout Free EP, last year Nonso released his powerfully personal full-length album When It Blooms, marking a culmination of affirming successes.
