The platinum selling music artist Karlien Van Jaarsveld is engaged!

The singer who is currently on a romantic getaway with her man, shared the exciting news via her social media page.

Karlien’s bae, the ex-rugby player pooped the question with a sweet gesture while the love birds were on vacation. The star announced that she and Joe Breytenbach are getting married in a lengthy post on Instagram on Saturday night.

Alongside a picture of the couple Karlien wrote: “Sooooo… I’d just like to share the news with you before the media does.. @joebreytenbach_13 and I are engaged. (sic)”

Sooooo… Ek wil graag die nuus met julle deel voor die media doen..? Ek en @joebreytenbach_13 is verloof????? Almal vra wie is Joe? So, Joe is net ‘n gewone ou, met ‘n gewone werk wat lief is vir gholf op ‘n random afdag en ‘n bier om te ontspan. Hy like sigare rook (hy rook so bietjie teveel van dit??) sy gunsteling afrikaanse kunstenaar is Koos Kombuis en hy maak gereeld kos vir ons in die huis. Ek het Joe in Potch ontmoet 11 jaar terug, ons het gesoen, ‘but then he went to France’ en Joe was nooit weer te sien of te hore van… And then ‘there he was’ popped out of the blue sonder ‘n wit perd, in ‘n swart hemp en ‘n swart stywe jean met een baie groot smile, en ‘n baie sweet ‘hello’ net so sweet soos 11 jaar terug. En soos hulle sê ‘you had me at hello’ the rest is history. Regte tyd Regte plek. So ja dis ons lang storie in baie kort. EK IS BAIE HAPPY EN BAIE HAPPY OM DIT MET JULLE TE KAN DEEL.
