Singer Kelly Khumalo performed for the first time since Senzo Meyiwa’s death on SABC’s LIVE amp.
The singer gave a great performance of her latest single ‘Asine’
The song had caused a lot of tongues to wag after the shooting of Senzo.
The venda son Asine translates as –‘It’s not me’.

Explaining the meaning of the song Kelly said: “It’s a song about a woman who is accused of killing her husband, so during the court case she kept saying it’s not me, it’s not me.”
In the song the woman is crying out to the police in defence that she did not kill her husband, it was not her.
Five days before the incident, Khumalo posted a video of Senzo singing the song on Instagram. She captioned the video saying: “Bhakabhaka on #AsineFEVER this has got to be the sweetest thing ever! #My00000000000000001Fan.’’
It seems like Kelly star is shining more brightly since the footballer’s death.
According to her label Universal, her latest album Asine is a top seller in music stores across South Africa.
Her book publisher and record label confirmed sales have spiked.
