Riding for Change: Cape Epic Riders Take on the Challenge to Support Education and Sport Development
[Cape Town, South Africa] – This year, an inspiring team of riders is taking on the Absa Cape Epic not just for the prestige, but for a purpose far greater than themselves. Riding in support of the Kolisi Foundation and Songo.info, these athletes are using their endurance and determination to drive meaningful, long-lasting change in communities that need it most.

Cherise Willeit, Ila Stow, Anna Gasser, and Ntlantla Nonkasa are riding to support the Kolisi Foundation’s and Songo.info’s work in education and sports development, particularly in infrastructure improvements that provide safe and sustainable spaces for
young people to thrive. Through this collaboration, the two NGOs are uniting their efforts to create real impact, ensuring that children and youth have access to the resources, mentorship, and opportunities they deserve.

The Cape Epic is one of the toughest mountain bike races in the world, and just as it challenges riders to push beyond their limits, it also serves as a powerful platform to raise awareness about the ongoing challenges faced by underserved communities. This campaign highlights that every person has the power to contribute, no matter how big or small.

Meaningful change happens when everyday people take everyday actions—and this is a chance for everyone to get involved.
We invite the public and corporate sector to support this incredible initiative by donating to the campaign. Every contribution makes a difference in building a stronger, more resilient future for young people through education and sport.
