Basketball star Lebron James broke royal protocol by putting his hands over Kate Middleton’s shoulder while taking photos with the royal couple.
Prince William and Kate posed with the star Cleveland Cavaliers player in New York yesterday after a game with the Brooklyn Nets, where they were presented with a shirt for Prince George.
But as the camera flashes went off, Mr Lebron put his arm around the Duchess’ shoulder, just like Michelle Obama did to the Queen when she met her four years ago. – a breach in royal etiquette

The royal couple seems making the most of their tour and they declared themselves impressed by their first NBA game.
“It was good, really good. Our first time,” the Prince told the 6ft 8in 29-year-old star after a day of contrasts. “I went to the White House for the first time. It was quite daunting.”
James asked William what size shoes he wore. “Half the size of yours,” he joked, pointing at the basketball player’s huge feet.
