LEN MULLER WANTS TO COMFORT AND ENCOURAGE LISTENERS WITH NEW SINGLE

Over the past decade, Len Muller has mastered the art of writing music that resonates deeply with and speaks to the hearts of his listeners. His latest single is yet another testament to this exceptional talent.

After him and his wife, Chanél, went through a sad and difficult time, he wrote JY’S OKAY in an effort to console them both during that heartbreaking time.

“It was one of the most painful experiences we had to go through as a family, so I wanted to write a song to encourage us to feel the pain and not run away from the difficult things, as it is an opportunity to grow and become stronger,” he shares. “I chose the title because it’s a beautiful sentiment I wanted to send out into the world, and I believed that it was something people needed to hear it.”

Producer Theo Crous from Belville Studios, who has worked with musicians like Prime Circle, Karen Zoid, Chris Chameleon, and Francois van Coke, was at the helm of this project and masterfully captured the emotion of the lyrics in the melody.

According to the singer-songwriter, the song, which he composed on the piano over a few months, began as a tune in his head that he wanted to develop further.

“I think many people have experienced similar heartbreak and can find resonance and comfort in the song. For someone else, it might mean something completely different, and that’s okay too.”

A beautiful music video of the song, which Len describes as very intimate and personal, will also be available soon.

It was filmed at his home in Cape Town and includes scenes of him alone at the piano as well as with a band.

JY’S OKAY follows in the footsteps of many major radio hits, including Vrede, which was used as the theme song for the kykNET sitcom Mense Mense and was nominated for a Huisgenoot Tempo Award.

This is also the first release from his upcoming EP, Arende en Engele, which will be released later this year and was specifically written for his wife and son.

“This EP is acoustic, raw, and hopeful, and anyone who enjoys honest music with deeper meaning will appreciate it,” reveals the musician.

Since the beginning of Len’s career, his music has been streamed more than 2 million times on Apple Music, and he now has around 50,000+ monthly listeners on Spotify.

When asked about the highlight of his music career so far, Len humbly expresses: “The real highlight is being able to live my calling and create music that touches people’s hearts.”

Furthermore, he not only had the opportunity to work with big names in the music industry but also to perform on major stages and establish himself as a songwriter.

When this versatile Capetonian isn’t busy with his own music, he is a very involved father and owns his own exclusive agency Len Muller (Pty) Ltd, which manages and does bookings for artists like Juan Boucher and Danie du Toit (Reënwolf).

Currently, he is busy working on a full-length album and arranging live performances to share his latest music with fans.

JY’S OKAY is one of those songs that will bring hope and comfort to anyone who listens to and needs it. It is now available on all digital streaming platforms. Get it here: https://ditto.fm/jysokay
