Lenski Alfred Releases new Single 'Your Name'

Durban- born multi-instrumentalist and Christian recording artist- Lenski Alfred is spreading the word of God through his unique sound and has released Your Name, a single from his latest body of work. His passion for bass playing has afforded him the opportunity to feature on various albums from big stars such as kwaito pioneer Mandoza, Lionel Richie’s Drummer- Oscar Seaton and Javier Solis to name a few.

Lenski Alfred – Short Biography

Born on the 8th January 1981, coming from a family of musicians and singers in Durban, South Africa, Lenski was taught to play the guitar at the age of five by his older brothers, Levine and Leon Alfred. After introduced to his first guitar, it wasn’t long after, Lenski started playing at his dad’s church. This really groomed him, helped develop his playing and calling upon his life.

Later on, Lenski was introduced to playing bass by Leon which extended his music boundaries, allowing him to either play, record or feature on albums with artists such as, Ernie Smith (S.A), Oscar Seaton (U.S Drummer for Lionel Richie/George Benson), Garth Taylor (S.A), Natalie Rungan (S.A), Mandoza (S.A), Burton Naidoo (S.A) ,Shaun P (S.A), Michael Parlett (USA),Lee Thorburg (USA) and Javier Solis (USA) to name a few.

Lenski started an experimental recording studio in a bedroom at his home just to mess around and record ideas with the help of his friend Ernie in 2007. Today, One Take Studios is a state of the art professional recording facility which is still in the same room. Lenski has recorded U.S drummer Oscar Seaton in this very same studio in 2016.

Lenski Alfred records himself singing, playing guitar, bass and does the final mix in One Take Studios. Lenski also produces and records up and coming artist in Durban.
