The pain of losing her unborn child ten months ago has left Lerato Kganyago scared to even think about falling pregnant.

The radio jock suffered a miscarriage when she was five months pregnant in October last year.

Lerato had to be rushed to hospital after experiencing stomach cramps, and discomfort at the time.

Speaking out for the first time after the ordeal, Lerato said she was overjoyed at the thought of becoming a mom, when she first found out about she was pregnant.

However, after experiencing the trauma of losing an unborn child, Lerato says that she doesn’t think she wants to be a mother.

“I don’t think I want to be a mother, now that it’s happened. Every time I think about having a child, I’m petrified of falling pregnant and going through it all again,” she told Grazia magazine.

Lerato went on to add that she is still healing from the ordeal.

“I need time to recover from my miscarriage. I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy,” she added.

Taking to social media over the past few months Lerato has often spoken out about getting through this tough time with the help of God, and accepting the challenges she’s faced.

Just last week Lerato reflected on accepting that she is not married and is not a mom, but is living her dreams.

“There’s more to life. I accept that I am not a mom and I’m not married…but I’m living my dreams.”
