Logan Paul versus The MIZ could be the highlight of SummerSlam

Must read

Logan Paul has done well to capture the attention of the WWE Universe, rising up to the occasion as he presents himself as a confident and capable WWE superstar who can share the ring with the best of the best. The newly contracted Paul has already laid down the marker of what his peers can expect from him whilst wetting the appetite of the millions who make up the WWE Universe.

After being successful teammates at WrestleMania, Logan Paul and The Miz will clash in a star-studded match at SummerSlam.

Following their win over the Mysterios at The Showcase of the Immortals, The A-Lister shockingly turned on his partner, delivering a Skull-Crushing Finale to the YouTube sensation. Ever since then, Paul has been training for a showdown with Miz, inking a WWE deal on June 30. The Miz did not take kindly to this news, insisting they team up again at SummerSlam, wanting no part of a singles match.

On signing on the dotted line, Paul called out The Miz, laying down the cards with a simple but stern message – coming for you – prompting Miz to respond with a call for truce or for the youngster to prepare for a lengthy period of suffering should he choose to go against Mr Awesome. Those two separate moments alone, have given many in the WWE Universe, a glimpse of what could be the highlight of this year’s SummerSlam. The Miz versus Logan Paul. The kind of main event that fits the bill for the Biggest Party of the Summer.

For what it’s worth, Miz’s olive branch extension to Logan should peak the 25-year old’s interest because Miz is a proven champion. A championship winning superstar with an impressive track record. After all, the two-time WWE World Champion has been crowned WWE tag team champion on six occasions. Starring alongside superstars like Big Show, John Morrison, John Cena and Damien Mizdow – a versatile group of superstar whom The Miz managed to build a strong rapport and winning formula with.

As enticing an offer this may be, with a long record to back-up, Paul has made his intentions clear and the WWE Universe is watching this developing feud with wide eyes because it could very well morph itself into a highly competitive and enthralling series of fixtures that could go down as the best in the WWE to-date.

What makes Paul an even trickier opponent and one to avoid, is his social popularity which is bolstered by Paul’s daring and no fear attitude. This could catch on quickly and the Miz would find himself right against the wall, fighting Paul and a million fans in the stands and back at home.

How it all develops and builds up to the electric evening at the Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee; only time will tell. You can watch this all-star Biggest Event of the Summer live in South Africa on SuperSport Variety 4 and streaming LIVE on WWE Network everywhere else on Saturday, 30 July at 20h00 EST.
