On the drinks menu, The Beaumont will be serving a special Jubilee cocktail and Nyetimber will be offering glasses and commemorative Jubilee bottles of their award-winning English Sparking Wine on board their 1968 Routemaster Bus.
The Mayfair Jubilee Party experience
Revellers will be invited to eat and drink at the party’s magnificent table decorated by sisters Jemima and Alice Herbert of Lay London with an abundance of flowers and plants to recreate the look of a traditional British garden. Regal topiary plants will give a quirky, yet quintessentially British, nod to Her Majesty’s palace gardens. Geranium plants will sit in frilly topped terracotta pots, while tall, elegant pastel-coloured foxgloves will sprout from elegant swan planters. Trailing clematis and fragrant jasmine will spill around the table’s centrepiece while cosmos flowers will create a delicate but wild look.
Hand-made decorative paper and bamboo kites will adorn the street’s floral arches and stalls, with trailing ribbons and bows attached as a whimsical tail. Pastel-coloured stripy tablecloths and fringed parasols will pay homage to vintage summer fetes.
Live entertainment will take place throughout the two days, with music from some of London’s coolest jazz musicians. The event will see vibrant, swinging performances from Garner trio, Fuse Duo, Jojo and Mark and Sara Rosa Trio.
The family-friendly event will spill out onto Grosvenor Square where the Royal Academy of Arts will be providing an artistic soft play area. Specialist Assemble Play’s Kings and Queens of the Playground will run from 1- 5 June 2022. All the family can drop in anytime between 11am – 3pm, to find giant blocks, boxes, colourful fabric, and many other treasures.
