A 41-year-old man was arrested for allegedly stabbing his mother to death in Naturena, south of Johannesburg.
The woman was found dead on Tuesday, but police report says they are not sure of when exactly she was killed.
The man had been arrested yesterday (tuesday), and would appear in the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court on Thursday.
The Star newspaper reported on Wednesday, that according to residents of Naturena Extension 19, the man hit his mother on Saturday night, threw her out of the house and she had to sleep outside in her car.
Police were called and they warned him of his behaviour.
His mother was let back into the house.
On Tuesday, police were called again after his mother’s colleague from the Life Flora Clinic, where she worked as a nurse, found the gate locked.
The same police officer who responded on Saturday, arrived on the scene with other officers.
He left for Mondeor police station to call the dog unit and later called that he had found the son near the Johannesburg prison. When asked where his mother was he said he had killed her.
