“Maps” is now trending on twitter after his remark about Xhosas landed him in serious hot water although the TV personality has apologised for his offensive tweet and deleted it but seems like is not ending soon as someone commented.
“Maps Maponyane deleted the tweet but still we don’t care. We should teach him some lesson nyana. Yeeeeerrrr”

Here is the Tell Me Something Sweet actor’s tweet that got people talking; “I just read that the word ‘Xhosa’ is derived from the Khoisan language and means ‘angry men’. It all makes sense. (sic)”
Shortly after that a storm erupted on social media.
In just an hour, over 40k tweets were directed at him, most attacking him and questioning what he actually does
Maps Maponyane's tweet is further proof of the legacy of the colonial tactic if divide and conquer. Did he ask himself who wrote that BS?

Maps has since deleted the tweet, apologised and even tagged his comment “stupid”.
Deleted my tweet because it was stupid. It wasn't aimed at offending anyone. Apologies for what was clearly not thought through. I'm sorry.
