Maroon 5 Set to Perform on the Season Finale of “The Voice” & Debut the Music Video for “Middle Ground” on May 23rd
Maroon 5 announces a new single entitled “Middle Ground” via 222/Interscope Records. It marks the first release from the three-time GRAMMY Award-winning multi-platinum band since 2021. “Middle Ground” is set for release on May 19th. The band will perform the song on the season finale of “The Voice” and debut a music video directed by David Dobkin for the song on May 23rd.

With “Middle Ground,” Maroon 5 cut deep, delivering an anthem unlike anything else in their catalog. Over softly strummed acoustic guitar and sparse tambourine, vulnerability underlines the verses as Levine thinks aloud, “I need more than myself, I need light, I need life, I need what I never felt.“ It builds towards a moment of raw relatability as he pleads, “If It hit the ground, I’ll fall down to my knees, would you hear the sound?”
“Middle Ground” came together in a flurry of inspiration. It rallies around a message of fragility and humanity on both a personal and universal scale. It also harks back to the unfettered, unrestrained, and undeniable spirit of the band’s seminal 2002 quadruple-platinum debut LP, Songs About Jane, but with a whole era of wisdom and experience behind it.
The band is coming off the first run of 8 successful shows, which opened their Las Vegas Residency, M5LV, to rave reviews from fans and critics alike as Billboard crowned the band “a perfect fit for a Las Vegas residency.” The band will be back to Dolby Live! at Park MGM in July 2023.

In 2022, Maroon 5 performed in front of the Pyramids of Giza, performed to over 100,000 people in Tel Aviv across two sold out shows, and to over 125,000 people in Japan on their sold out “Dome Tour,” with two nights in Tokyo and one in Osaka.
