The TV personality recently got nominated alongside several other celebrities including Bonang Matheba, Basetsana Kumalo, Trevor Noah, Khanyi Mbau, and Jo-Ann Strauss.
The category recognises “exceptional leadership and tireless efforts in addressing and raising awareness about community issues in South Africa”.
The editorial panel for the awards selected Dlamini as a public figure that represents outstanding success in heightening awareness and emphasising the importance of transformation in South Africa.
Her charity efforts like The Minnie Dlamini Foundation has been rooted in community upliftment and awareness, and it’s easy to see why she deserves recognition. The actress and presenter is one of the busiest women in show business, and with a Twitter following of over 1-million her tweets have far-reaching affects.
Minnie Dlamini Foundation giving face to education:
The beauty brunette has proven beyond doubt that she is beauty with purpose as she announced in 2015 that her foundation would help finance the university fees of at least 29 school girls in 2016. The Minnie Dlamini Foundation also raised fund for Balondo High School in 2015 providing the school with new desk, board etc. She shared the pictures on her instagram page, captioned:
