Silas Philips leave doctors breathless with his unusual entry into the world, three months premature.
Baby Silas was delivered via C-section, still INSIDE his amniotic sac. Three months premature, Silas was still attached to the umbilical cord and able to get oxygen from the placenta.
An incredible photo captures his tiny hands pressed up against the sac of clear, liquid which remained in tact.
Silas was delivered at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in California. Where the doctors described the delivery as a miracle. Dr William Binder said: “Even though it sounds clichéd, we caught our breath.
“It really felt like a moment of awe… and one that will stick in my moment for some time.”
