The multi-award winning rapper and singer will show off her skills at three venues across the country. The announcement was made this morning with an Instagram post.
Minaj will be performing on:
17 March: Johannesburg – Ticket Pro Dome
20 March: Durban – Moses Mabida stadium
22 March: Cape Town – Grand West Arena
The Anaconda singer was due to perform in South Africa in 2014 at the TribeOne Festival but the event was cancelled after a bitter battle between the organisers and the City of Tshwane (CoT).
Tickets will go on sale on Thursday, 28 January from 09:00.
The Hip-hop artists Nicki Minaj and Will.i.am are currently under fire for investing in an app, called Blindspot, that’s said to encourage bullying.
Launched last month for Android and iOS, the application lets users send anonymous messages to anyone from their contacts list.
While it’s being compared to the now-defunct Secret social network, Blindspot only focuses on private chats between two people — similar to services such as WhatsApp and Viber.
Here, however, the receiver never knows who a message is from, and that could easily become the perfect tool for bullies, trolls and other people with hateful intentions.
