Apparently, imitation isn’t always the best form of flattery.
‘No Chill ZONE’ the rapper posted on Instagram. Nicki Minaj fires back at Miley Cyrus for ‘Anaconda’ copy-cat cover art.
Minaj set tongues wagging last month when she unveiled the bootylicious art for her latest single.
The song samples Sir Mix A Lot’s iconic hip hop track “Baby Got Back” and the art appropriately features Minaj’s famous backside in nothing but a pink g-string.
The pic set off a slew of memorable imitations, including one featuring Marge Simpson, and Minaj has been Instagramming a few of her favorites. But she appears to be drawing the line at fellow headline-maker Miley Cyrus.
Cyrus channeled the rapper on Sunday with her own version of the “Anaconda” art
which Minaj re-grammed with the caption “Give me one good reason why Miley made this her twitter avi.” The snark was accompanied by a series of crying-laughing smiley emojis and the hashtag #AnacondaOniTunes.
Later, Cyrus posted an image of her former Disney character Hannah Montana striking the same pose.
Again, Minaj re-grammed with the caption “No chill ZONE!!!!” and a decidedly less happy emoji.
Is Minaj throwing shade at Cyrus or is the banter all in good fun enjoying the attention?
