It’s been a long journey to 2017, some of us are looking forward to it with great plans to achieve our goals .
This time we’ll focus on taking our careers further . I will share with you a 30,30,30,10 RULE.
God is the influencer of our acceleration and without Him there’ll be missing links in all areas of our lives .
God gives us wisdom to plan properly and do well with all that is within our means ,He thereafter furthers the rest that’s beyond us according to His purpose .
God is not dependent on us for us to succeed but He requires us to participate.
How do you build your career further ?
-First 30%
Do your job so well and make it a point that you make it hard for your employers to replace you .
-Second 30%
Offer to help those in senior positions where you want to grow your career into i.e. ask you manager to share his/her tasks with you so that you may get exposed to what your manager does and also expose your capabilities to him/her as this will help in establishing a strong visibility engagement of yourself to them.
-Third 30%
Explore other operations within your company and learn what others are doing and how it feeds to what you currently do . This activity gives your great knowledge of your company and creates a greater platform of creativity within your mind One thing you need to understand is that , thinkers have greater opportunities because they create development platforms . This will allow you to link dots from different areas ,find gaps or success , build or propose a more powerful operational function within your industry . This act on it’s own will create a strong ground for you to being the first preferred candidate when there are open opportunities.
– Fourth 10%
Go out of your company ,your comfort zone and schedule meetings with other leaders and learn how their companies run and their styles of management , from self philosophy to academic methodologies .
This will expose you to other greater school of thoughts and allow you to connect even more to your mental side of creativity as well as your logical side.
In conclusion ,we all want to be somewhere with a strong sense of meaning in life . You are powerful beyond measures . You are not placed there to get stuck, but you are placed there to succeed . Take up this challenge and conquer your piece of this land . All of us are winners and are powerful . Let us move forward .
