Johannesburg, 14 March 2025: With less than 10 days remaining- The Grand Finale of season five of Big Brother Mzansi! With only eight housemates left standing, it’s a non-stop rollercoaster of strategy, twists, and unforgettable moments.

This week, the housemates were tasked with an intense wager of coming up with creative solutions to real-world problems. They had to develop three innovative solutions to solve specific problems, all while competing to win Biggie’s money. They went all in with a 100% wager, making their ideas matter more than ever before. Whether it’s affordable housing or sustainable fashion, it’s clear that the housemates are ready to put their creativity to the test.

Because of the task, the housemates’ age gap became a talking point as they worked through their “Gennovator” ideas. While Millennials like Siphesihle and Nate focused on solutions like career-switching platforms and mental health apps, the Gen Z crew, including Mshini and Jojo, brought their own flair to the table with ideas like biodegradable fashion and virtual reality classrooms. It’s clear that innovation doesn’t have a generational boundary—each group brought something fresh to the task, but can they bridge the gap and impress Biggie?

But while the brainstorming sessions were full of energy, the drama was never far behind, adding extra spice to the competition! The week has also been filled with revelations about the players behind the game. How have they remained in the house until now?

Abobo, the quiet strategist, has proved that silence doesn’t mean weakness as his fiery outbursts keep everyone talking. Jojo, the “innocent firecracker”, continues to surprise with her sharp moves despite her seemingly sweet demeanor. Then there’s Mshini, the dynamo who doesn’t shy away from competition, and Nate, the shadowy troublemaker, who always manages to stir the pot.

Siphesihle has kept everyone on edge with her no-nonsense approach to conversation, making her the deep-thinker, while Sweet Guluva, the zen master, remains unshaken by the chaos around him. Finally Uyanda, he is never far from a good confrontation and enjoys his personal dance moves, making him a constant source of drama and entertainment.

As the game nears its climax, the pressure is building. Seven housemates are up for eviction except Uyanda, who is this week’s Head of House. Sunday’s live eviction show promises to be an emotional rollercoaster as viewers eagerly await the final week’s lineup. Will the silent strategists outlast the loudest competitors, or will fiery personalities clash in a dramatic showdown? For now, the housemates are focused on unwinding at the Saturday Night Party before the tension sets in. Bringing the vibes to the decks is DJ Soa Matrix, known for his signature Amapiano sound.

Sunday, don’t miss the electrifying performance by award-winning artist Makhadzi, as well as all the drama, surprises and twists of the eviction night. At least one housemate’s journey will come to an end, while the others move one step closer to the ultimate prize!
