Pandora is excited to be joining forces with Thuso Mbedu and Dominique Fishback, as the newest additions to the Muses collective, in reveal of the latest Wearing Occasions campaign launching 28 July. With the collection honoring the importance of friendship and the expression of everyone’s unique style, the dynamic duo are the perfect fit as they come together with Pandora.
Becoming ‘friends at first sight’, Thuso Mbedu and Dominique Fishback’s bond has been built upon a mutual compassion for each other’s acting career. Described as supportive and based on the belief that although they audition for the same roles, they are not competitors but peers and allies in this industry. “We understand one another. We know what it means to be young black women in the industry, what it is to be direct and to advocate for what you believe in, no matter what. We are reflections of each other, and we understand and hold space for that.” Dominique Fishback.
As rising stars, both are incredibly exciting talents – as we see Thuso feature in her standout role in critically acclaimed film ‘The Underground Railway’ in 2021, and Dominique bursting onto the scene with her role in the critically acclaimed ‘Judas and the Black Messiah’ for which she was BAFTA nominated. Dominique’s next project, featuring in Donald Glover & Janine Nabers currently unnamed Series at Prime Video, is hotly anticipated amongst critics and fans alike.
This powerhouse pair not only have prosperous projects ahead of them, but also a journey of friendship in a world whereby togetherness matters – something that Pandora believes should be cherished and celebrated. Friendships are the thing that they describe as keeping them grounded. “Friendships are extremely important to me because I am overly protective of my space… they keep me accountable, are my biggest supporters and are a safe space for me to be me.” Thuso Mbedu.
“Friendship is at the heart of our new collection and partnering with such incredible talents on this collection has been hugely exciting – seeing a deep friendship flourish whilst thriving in their fast-paced careers, is truly aspirational” say VP Creative Directors A. Filippo Ficarelli and Francesco Terzo. “Personalization and inclusivity are fundamental to our collections, and we want to give people special pieces so they can tell their story and express themselves in their own way.
” Mbedu and Fishback join Georgia May Jagger and Larsen Thompson as Pandora’s Muses, a series of talent partnering with the brand to mark calendar moments of love and self-expression through jewellery.
The Wearing Occasions campaign introduces new Pandora Moments rings, bracelets, earrings and interconnecting charms, giving fans everywhere the chance express all sides of their own story and carry it with them.
