Pearl Thusi has rubbished reports that she’s allegedly been begging SABC COO Hlaudi Motsoeneng for her job back.
On Tuesday, Pearl dismissed reports that she went back to beg SABC COO Hlaudi Motsoeneng for her job back.
SABC confirmed that Pearl asked for a meeting with Motsoeneng, although the public broadcaster didn’t specify the reason she asked for the meeting.
Motsoeneng dismissed Thusi from Metro FM after her resignation from SABC1’s Live AMP music show to sign up as a presenter on an international show, Lip Sync Battle Africa, to be aired on SABC’s rival channels MTV, MTV Base and e.tv.
He also allegedly planned to engineer her removal from SABC3 soapie Isidingo.
According to Sunday World, Thusi has been badgering SABC officials to arrange a meeting between her and Motsoeneng so she could nuzzle him to reinstate her.
“We can confirm that Pearl wanted a meeting with Motsoeneng and because he has an open-door policy he will accede to her request for the meeting and hear what she wants to say. We don’t know at this stage what the meeting will be all about, and when the meeting will take place,” said SABC spokesman Kaizer Kganyago.
The paper’s also claim that Pearl is sitting at home “frustrated” because all of the Lip Sync episodes were shot in one week.
Taking to social media Pearl has laughed off the reports calling it a lie.
