Pearl’s got her old gig back peeps, yes she did. SABC has given Pearl Thusi her job back.
This comes after Pearl quit her Live AMP gig on SABC 1 earlier this year to join MTV’s new Lip Sync Battle Africa as co-presenter.
According to reports, SABC was not pleased with Pearl and got her to pack her bags as they suspended her Metro FM contract.
But the station announced on Wednesday that one of its biggest on-air talents will be reinstated!.

In a press statement released on Wednesday, the SABC’s Chief Operations Officer, Hlaudi Motsoeneng, said all was good again between the SABC and Pearl.
The presser said: “In order for us to compete effectively, I have instructed management to ensure consistent application of the SABC’s directive regarding On-Air talent working for direct competitors.
“To this end and with due regard to the circumstances relating to the termination of Ms. Pearl Thusi’s contract with the SABC, the corporation resolved to reinstate Ms. Thusi’s services as an On-Air Personality. In this particular instance the directive was not applied consistently and appropriate action will be considered.”
The Sunday World reported a few days ago that Pearl Thusi was begging the SABC to get back her job, and requested a meeting with her bosses but she immediately took to social media to rubbish the claims, stating it was all a lie.
