Thabiso Mofokeng, better known as TTZ, is a respected figure in the music industry, renowned for his exceptional DJ and production skills. Joining him are T-Man SA, celebrated for his distinctive Amapiano sound, and TPO, an artist known for pushing the boundaries of musical innovation. “There’s a lot of pretenses in our relationships. Most of us are looking for what we can get out of a person, and in particular, women are looking to be financed and for social media clout when they get into relationships. Sometimes they want to be financed without even wanting to be with the person, and so categorize men in terms of what they can provide,” TTZ DJ explained.
This collaboration came about serendipitously because all the artists live in the same neighborhood, creating an organic and seamless partnership that shines through in the music.
Thabiso Mofokeng’s Musical Journey
Born on September 15, 1991, Thabiso Mofokeng, TTZ DJ, has established himself as a prolific Disk Jockey and record producer in South Africa. His musical journey began in 2008 when he embarked on his career as a DJ, exploring various genres such as Deep House Music, Afro House, and Commercial House. Over the years, TTZ DJ honed his skills and expertise behind the decks.
In 2016, LAHV released a single under Born in Soweto Records, featuring Dvine Lopez, titled “The Music.” That same year, LAHV collaborated with the legendary Mmithi (Tokzen) on his album “The Journey Continues,” contributing five tracks that garnered a nomination at the Metro Awards and a performance at the grand Soccer City launch.
Further cementing their place in the industry, LAHV released a single titled “My Number One” under Chynamusique Records, a label celebrated with SAMA and Metro awards.
In 2020, TTZ DJ embarked on a journey to master his craft and refine his sound. In 2022, he teamed up with DJ TPO to release the EP “Through Pain,” featuring renowned artists like Mick Man and T-Man SA.
In the same year, this dynamic duo collaborated with Content Connect Afrika to release a single distributed under the title “DJ TPO & TTZ ft. T-Man SA, Mzulu Kakhulu, and Moscow on Keys.
