Rapper Maraza who tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend feels settling down is one of the coolest thing to do and wonder why black kids think marriage is such an uncool thing to do.
Speaking in a recent interview with Slikour, the rapper couldn’t help but gush about married life. Maraza stated that his marriage has helped him to keep his focus because he married a woman who believed in his dream and keeps pushing him to actualize his goal.
“I don’t know why young black kids think marriage is such an uncool thing… I focused on family. I focused on who I was and what I was,” he said.
“I have been blessed with an incredible life partner. My wife is an amazing thing. At a time when we were at our brokest, when I didn’t even have a car, and I said that I was thinking of quiting the work I did to focus on the thing that I don’t know will pay when, she said ‘I’m with you’. Nothing beats a support system that really trusts in what you trust in,”
