The Covid-19 pandemic has left many devastated over the past few months and it is ongoing. For many, it has become a struggle for survival – physically, financially and especially mentally. Reggie Peace found hope in Proverbs 23:7 and with his brand-new powerful single, THE STRUGGLE IS OVER, he brings encouragement during these difficult times.
This single is the eighth original song (of which 4 already released to radio) written by the artist himself and the music video will also be released soon.
“The song has everything to do with our current situation. Depression and mental issues are worse than ever, and THE STRUGGLE IS OVER addresses these problems. Proverbs 23:7 says that your mental state affects your well-being. If we start proclaiming that the ‘struggle’ is over, it might be over before we know it,” he explains. “The most important thing is the peace this message brings. External circumstances might not change immediately, but if you have peace and faith that the ‘struggle’ is over, you will have the courage to overcome anything.”
The music video’s concept is about two brothers who have been struggling their whole life and decided to exclaim that the “struggle” is over. The video shows that with every mountain you climb in life, the perfect sunset awaits you on the other side.
“The biggest blessings await after you’ve climbed the biggest mountains in life,” says Reggie.
The video is filmed in Emmerentia Dam and Northcliff Hill and inspired by Proverbs 23:7.
Wesley van der Westhuizen (Wesley West) produced the video with Reggie’s insights.
