Riaad Moosa - Double Feature

We’re all dealing with withdrawal symptoms from our lives ‘pre-COVID’.  It turns out that there is a cure for this hollow feeling in our chests – a healthy dose of laughter with Riaad Moosa – straight up!

In a double feature this July, Riaad Moosa brings his best comedic offerings to the online “stage” with the release of his latest comedy special, Life Begins, on Netflix from the 3rd of July and his first live online show, Not A Nice Guy: Covid Edition on the 25th of July.

In Life Begins (streaming on Netflix from 3rd of July)Riaad Moosa tries to figure out whether life truly does begin at 40.  The special is a snapshot into his life as a 40-something, father, husband, comedian, actor and with daily issues thrown in.

The show is very philosophical and existential.  It involves the normal issues of getting older while at the same time experiencing, at a maturity where I’m supposed to be wise, a world that is completely turned on its head.  And it’s about how I negotiate all these things happening around me while trying to maintain a positive attitude.  Through my comedic lens, I hope to put a different spin on that and hopefully my next 40 years will be lived with renewed vigour and excitement,” Moosa adds.

Riaad Moosa has always been the ‘nice guy’!  But these days, he finds himself caught in a middle-aged delirium dealing with getting older.  In Not A Nice Guy: Covid Edition on the 25th of July, Riaad unfolds personal stories of getting old, what makes up a nice guy, dealing with a pandemic and trying to make sense of it all.

The human condition is very confusing.  I talk about how hard it is to know what the correct choices are in life; it’s a show that people will relate to on different levels,” comments Riaad.

The show carries a PG-13 age restriction.  Part of the proceeds from the show will go towards Penny Appeal’s local relief efforts.
