| ABOUT ALEX VAUGHN Alex Vaughn is a singer, songwriter, pianist and overall force to be reckoned with, has a wide range of soul and energy that will leave you wanting more. In addition to her personal music grind, she has performed alongside notable artists at legendary venues such as The Kennedy Center, The Howard Theatre, SOB’s and The Fillmore just to name a few. Alex is heavily influenced by artists such as Stevie Wonder, Missy Elliot, Amy Winehouse, Jill Scott, Kanye West and Mary J Blige. The laid back funny and honest singer stated that it is always her goal to be honest in her music. Her goal is to always make her listeners feel better about whatever they are going through. She has always been passionate about helping people in any way she can contribute, to make the world a better place. Her tool of choice? The universal language, music. |
| Classically trained in both voice and music theory, as well as piano, she strives to make music in as many aspects as possible; whether it be writing, creating a melody, or even creating the entire musical composition for any genre of music. Alex sang background for numerous artists in her early stages with notable artists such as Goapele, Cece Peniston, and MuMu Fresh. She has also been the opening act for K. Michelle and multi-Grammy Award winner Eric Bellinger. Additionally, she has performed the National Anthem for Washington D.C.’s professional soccer team DC United. In 2018 Alex started an open mic/jam session in D.C. called AV Sessions. AV Sessions is an open mic like no other. It is a platform where local artist and musician can come together to showcase their talent and rock out as a collective. |
| On October 6th 2021 Alex Vaughn signed her first record deal with Love Renaissance and Interscope Records. When ask how she felt after signing she stated “I can think of no better place for me than Love Renaissance. The passion they have for the art is unmatched. I can’t wait to grow with them”. |
