[Johannesburg, April 2024] – Rookie USA, the renowned kids fashion brand, demonstrated its commitment to child welfare and community support through the initiatives that took place on the 27th of March, 2024. The brand donated R50 000 to the Urban Ruins Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting under privileged children within the surrounding communities as well as wholesome food hampers for the kids and their families.
The day was filled with magic and laugher as we witnessed a race to the number of chocolate eggs the kids could collect through an Easter egg hunt organised by the brand . While some of the kids preferred a hunt, eat, and count all chocolate eggs later, others made sure there was no stone and vegetable left unturned.
A big thank you is owed to our Rookie USA South Africa CSI influencers that the brand partners up with year on year. These influencers opt to use their earnings as a means of giving back and together with Rookie USA South Africa, we can make an impact in children’s lives.
“We are honoured to Support The Urban Ruins Project Centre this year. Spending a day and bringing joy to the children was a humbling experience,” said Tebogo Motlhamme – Marketing Manager at Rookie USA. “At Rookie USA, we believe in giving back to the community and making a positive impact on the lives of children and hope that this year’s initiative will assisting in achieving that.
Rookie USA South Africa continues to set an example in corporate social responsibility, inspiring others to contribute to meaningful causes and make a difference in their communities.
