ROSS LEARMONTH STEPS BACK INTO THE SPOTLIGHT WITH THE RELEASE OF NEW MUSIC VIDEO “YOUNG”.

Ross Learmonth, best recognized as the frontman of South African royalty Prime Circle, and the iconic voice behind the hits ‘She Always Gets What She Wants’, ‘Consider Me’ and ‘Pretty Like the Sun’, has stepped back into the spotlight as a solo artist- releasing a music video to his brand new single “Young”

Learmonth, who had jetted around the globe over the past three years, writing with international artists in Nashville, Muscle Shoals and London, has put down the groundwork of his solo sound and debut album which will be dropping March 31st.

“‘Young’ is a song to celebrate the moment by not allowing time to dictate our age and how we perceive ourselves in this short but beautiful time we have on this planet,” Ross explains. “It is about remaining young at heart, not letting yourself get caught up in a silly thing like age. Enjoying every moment and keeping the kid in us all alive and well. Don’t let the old man in”

When asked about the reason behind a solo career, Ross mentions “I just felt that there was so much music in me and not necessarily a ‘Prime’ sound… I wanted to explore and push my own boundaries. (It is) to step out of my comfort zone and I was very fortunate enough to have found something beautiful beyond”.

Captivating fans and audiences around the globe with his new sound, Ross released his first two debut solo singles ‘Wild’ and ‘Screaming’ in 2022 which both peaked to #1 on various radio station charts during its run.

The year is far from over for Learmonth as he plans to take his fans on a musical escapade, openly sharing more on his journey of past wounds, fault and life challenges “The album is a journey of living in the moment, realizing one’s faults in relationships and moving past previous bounds, and escaping into the unknown. Allowing oneself to break free and let the cards fall where they may. There is a romance in the unknown and allowing yourself to get caught up in it,” he explains.

‘Young’ is available on all major streaming platforms
