After releasing their debut album globally on 1st October, the international music group LIFE has already charted on a number of stations in Europe this month.

LIFE has seen their debut album release being featured on Radio Caroline UK, with their single “These Games” as well as on Radio Marabu in Berlin, Germany.

The band comprises of singer and songwriter, Rebeka Rain; songwriter, producer and engineer Mick Evans from Australia, as well as singer, songwriter and accomplished musician Kyle Petersen – who hails from South Africa.

In South Africa, their music has also been playlisted on Good Hope FM and it seems their international stardom is on the rise, thanks to their recent album release.

The name LIFE was born from a desire to encourage people to live life to the full, to unite, to dance, to feel and to be inspired.

According to Cape Town-born Petersen, the album has a melodic and refreshingly organic sound. “It is a unique blend, where the old school analogue world meets the digital age. On this album, we’re taking the listener on a smooth ride from the past through the present and right into the future,” he shares.

The group’s first single, Easy To Love, which was released earlier this year, is a ballad to touch the hearts of anyone who has ever been in love. Rain says when the trio first started writing together in 2015, they realised “that fate had stepped in” and their future was formed.

“Easy to Love was a beautiful start to our musical journey together. Since then we have wandered through the album in many directions and explored who we are. We will continue to grow and evolve for many albums to come,” she says.

Diversity is what to expect of LIFE as each member will bring a little of their own “spice” to the mix. For Evans, working on this project has been a dream come true. “The inspiration for me was the unity of two great countries, along with the magical tones of the voices of Kyle and Rebeka which work together seamlessly to create the foundation of the album.”
Fans can download the album on all international digital music platforms on 1 October. Physical copies of the group’s debut album as well as all LIFE merchandise are available online. LIFE will be touring nationally and internationally between January and August 2017.

ABOUT LIFE

LIFE began its journey as an international band in early 2016. The members however had been collaborating across the world to co-write and release songs since mid 2015. Two members of LIFE originate from Cairns in far north Queensland, Australia, and the other is from Cape Town, South Africa. Rebeka Rain, (singer/songwriter) from Cairns, and Mick Evans (Producer/engineer of Melpro Recording Studio, keyboard player and songwriter) also from Cairns, teamed up in 2013 and co-wrote and released two albums. Fate stepped in when the duo were introduced to Kyle Petersen, an accomplished young musician who was writing and performing his own material in South Africa. Mick and Rebeka then invited Kyle to visit Australia and together they co-wrote several songs. This was beginning of something magical and a bond was formed that needed to be taken further. With the addition of xx123Recordsxx from Denmark into the team, LIFE was born.
