Following the success of their previous single “Meant to Be,” “When I’m With You” showcases a new dimension of the SaxbyTwins’ music. “We’ve always wanted to create an indie pop/folk song,” the twins explain. “This single portrays a warm, cozy feeling with a catchy hook. It felt like the perfect follow-up with its feel-good melody and lyrical flow.” Their previous singles, including the hit “Falling for You” and “She’s Got That Sunshine”, have garnered widespread acclaim and solidified their reputation as one of the most promising acts to watch in 2024.
As independent artists, the SaxbyTwins take pride in their autonomy and the ability to bring their vision to life. “Backing and believing in our own vision and seeing results forming is incredibly rewarding,” they share. “We want to pave the way for future upcoming artists from an independent stance, showing that it’s possible through hard work and determination.” Social media has played a significant role in their journey. “The music industry has been revolutionized through social media,” the twins acknowledge. “A loyal connection with our growing fanbase through these platforms is crucial. We focus on our own goals and path, avoiding distractions from comparing ourselves to others.”
Another big focus in their lives is finding a balance. “We have always balanced numerous aspects of our lives mainly being sports, academics and culture. We achieved our Honours Degree and through this did not want to be seen as just artists, but artists with degrees behind them. We just want to show others that you’re more than capable of achieving more than one goal when you put your mind to it and through determination.” Looking ahead, the SaxbyTwins are working towards releasing an EP before the end of the year. “It will be our best songs yet,” they promise. “We can’t wait for everyone to hear it. We’re continuously working to better our music and the creative space we’re in leaves us super excited for the future.”
